Over the years , Gilles Bouleau has made a name for himself on television, presenting the TF1 news . In a few days, the latter will give up his place to a colleague to take a vacation.
The immense career as a journalist of Gilles Bouleau
Gilles Bouleau is one of the star presenters of TF1 . Considered an emblematic figure of television journalism in France, the latter has led a flawless journalistic career.
After studying law, the presenter joined the Practical Institute of Journalism (IPJ) in Paris. It was there that he wanted to discover the profession of journalist.
The latter also began his career as a radio reporter before joining France 2 . Very quickly, the France Télévisions group channel entrusted him with the presentation of certain subjects.
In 2006, Gilles Bouleau joined TF1, and made replacements to host the news . At the time, he stepped in to replace his friend, the presenter, Laurence Ferrari.
The journalist catches the eye of viewers , who want to see him more often on television. When Laurence Ferrari announced her departure from the first channel, TF1 thought of Gilles Bouleau to replace her at short notice, in 2011.
Marie-Sophie Lacarrau’s great friend became, from then on, one of the familiar faces of information in France. The latter was also chosen to host special programs and coverage of major events such as the presidential elections.
A comfortable salary
Gilles Bouleau is therefore passionate about many subjects such as politics, global warming and even citizen debates. So many hats that have made him an unbeatable journalist on current affairs.
With more than 5.5 million viewers on average for each newscast, Élisabeth Tran-Bouleau’s husband is therefore essential to TF1. In twelve years of career, the TV presenter has seen his salary increase significantly.
On May 4, Gilles Bouleau therefore agreed to answer questions from Buzz TV/Figaro. The opportunity for the former field journalist to talk for the first time about his very comfortable salary.
“I have no shame with the money I earn, with the taxes I pay and with the work I do,” he confided to our colleagues. And added: “To answer this question, I often answer: ‘Do you like football? So I earn rather less than a Ligue 2 goalkeeper. It’s great, long live Ligue 2 and Ligue 2 goalkeepers ,” he added.
If the TV journalist did not wish to reveal his salary, he would earn around 15,000 euros gross per month to present the news. A comfortable salary, which rewards the work done over many years.
At the microphone of Jade and Eric Dussart on RTL, the TV presenter said that he did not know where he would be in the coming years. “The day it stops, I would say: ‘It’s great,’” confided Gilles Bouleau.
Gilles Bouleau soon to leave?
This Monday, October 23, 2023, Gilles Bouleau hosted the TF1 news . The latter proposed a report on the subject of drugs which have caused a scandal since new information was revealed.

Moreover, know that from Monday October 30, 2023, Gilles Bouleau will say goodbye to TF1 . The latter will thus be replaced by Julien Arnaud.
It is he who will provide the television news during the All Saints’ Day holidays . This will allow Gilles Bouleau to rest, to return in great shape.
